Project Run and Play Back to School 2024: Volume 1
/I have ambitious sewing plans for back to school. I hate shopping that much!
Just kidding!
Kind of. Don’t worry. We also did plenty of shopping!
I had extra ambitious plans for the Sewing Olympics so I just carried this one over to Back to School. The PRP shop just added the Alex Sweatshirt and Diamondback leggings and I sewed a cute, sporty look for my youngest daughter. She LOVES big sweatshirts and bike shorts.
I used the Raspberry Creek Fabrics 4 way stretch french terry and the double color blocking option on both the front and sleeves to show off our school colors. (Once a cheerleader, always a cheerleader!) I do need to brag on this fabric a bit- it is so soft and has the perfect amount of stretch to make for extra-comfortable clothes!
For the bike shorts I just cut off the leggings pattern at the inseam she wanted (a little longer, to be honest) and chose the high waistband option. I used our very favorite brushed athletic knit fabric from Boho Fabrics. It is so soft!
She doesn’t want to take it off now so I interpret that to be /a successful sewing project!
The Back to School Collection patterns are on sale through 8/24/24 for 30% off or the entire collection is available as a bundle for 35% off! There are patterns for all of your back to school sewing needs!
