AGF Tumbleweed
/I was able to sew with Art Gallery Fabrics’ new Tumbleweed fabric collection by Sharon Holland. My daughter helped me to plan an outfit and it all turned out beautifully!
I was extremely particular about fabric placement- making sure everything was centered/symmetrical. I was also very meticulous when sewing the striped fabric. Tiny rows are stitched and topstitched between each tier of the Evergreen skirt. The hem even has single fold bias binding in contrasting fabric on the inside.
The top is Indigo (designed for knit but I have made it in woven before) and I decided to add a lace up back because the stripes just make a really great tie option. I also the striped fabric as a double fold binding around the bottom of the bodice.
I did make a (Rain)Bow to match, but she forgot it when we took photos. I ended up making one from each fabric in each size with the long tail option. My girls really like bows lately.
The Tumbleweed Lookbook was just released and has a lot of beautiful inspiration. See it HERE.
