Soccer Accent Stripe Fabric for Kids Clothes

I decided to add a fabric collection to the Project Run and Play Summer Olympics event and one of my ideas included a panel of accent stripes. Itโ€™s pretty handy because you can order a half yard of fabric and get a row of tags, inseam/side tags, word waistbands, black and white stripes, and a row of larger accents.

I got the soccer stripes fabric and was able to create 5 different outfits, with fabric to spare!

First up, letโ€™s see the boys in their soccer sets! I sewed each one a Lemon Tee and Jingle Joggers shorts accented with their favorite colors. On the shorts, I topstitched the black and white stripe fabric next to the side seam on the shorts, used inseam tags on the sides, and added a soccer ball applique. The shirts have an inseam tag added to the cuffs on the sleeves and a soccer ball applique on the opposite sleeve.

Next up is the soccer set that I sewed for my daughter. I also used the Lemon Tee for hers but made Sofiona Designs Starry Night PJ shorts and hacked them to add a waistband. Of course, I also added a cute soccer tag in the side seam. Those just make everything better! On the front of the shirt I added UV activated HTV using the new Summer Olympics Digital Designs. Itโ€™s so cool and changes instantly from white to light blue with exposure to sunlight!
