Beachy Blues

Project Run and Play held a “Beach Bash” this summer and I sewed up a coastal inspired set for my daughter in shades of pretty blues with Art Gallery Fabrics.

The Midsummer Dream pattern was added to the PRP shop this summer and can be made as a dress or skirt and crop separates. I opted for the dress and included the optional straps with this off the shoulder style. Art Gallery Fabrics linen blend was a perfect fabric choice for this pattern. Both the top and hem are trimmed with lace and a Shine Bright LOVED tag was tucked into the side seam of the ruffle.

To compliment the dress I sewed up a Seashell Satchel in AGF True Blue floral canvas and inserted gathered eyelet lace under the top band. My daughter also chose a floral heart label from Shine Bright for the bag and I layered it with white to make it stand out against the floral print.
