Project Run and Play Back to School 2024: Volume 2
/As indicated by “Volume 1” in the last post title, I sewed another school outfit for my youngest! This time I used fabric that she selected from Cali Fabrics.
I hadn’t sewn the Prose & Poetry Cargo Joggers until now, and I am kicking myself! They are so good! There are EIGHT pockets in these pants and it really wasn’t hard to make them. Shine Bright Label Co has me hooked so I just HAD to put one on them!
The fabric is a viscose stretch twill and I really like how smooth and stretchy it is, but it did make it more difficult to sew crisp pockets.
She loves having some cozy Blank Canvas Cardigans for layering and I thought the pink would complement the outfit well. I used a chunky waffle knit and sewed the tunic length.
For the top I found a really soft black modal jersey and sewed a Multi-Hue Henley but skipped the placket and added a neckband. I just measured the neckline and calculated 85% to get the correct length. She prefers her tops a bit cropped and it was the perfect length to go with the pants.
I would say that this girl is all set for school! You have one last chance to get the Back to School bundle from Project Run and Play at 35% off (the individual patterns in the collection at 30% off) through tomorrow, 8/27/24. We also have one more surprise coming to finish our the Back to School tour!

Check out this year’s Back to School sewing with NEW Project Run and Play patterns and Art Gallery Fabrics! This cute girls outfit has a country western vibe!
