Art Gallery Fabrics Flower Bloom
/I got to sew with Art Gallery Fabrics again!!! They just released the lookbook for the new Flower Bloom collection and it has a fun, retro, summer vibe!
I also switched up the models… my nieces took a turn and had so much fun in the peach blossoms at Dries Orchard. We could not have asked for a more beautiful day for our photo shoot! Dries Orchards has lovely rolling hills at the base of a mountain. We even visited the store when we were done to get a few treats. They have a variety of baked goods, candy, and gifts along with the fruit grown on the farm.
For my older niece’s outfit I sewed Rocky Shore Tights in knit Flower Child Fierce but added a little flare at the bottom of the legs for the retro vibe. The top is a Lemon Tee and I made iron-on fabric letters with the Good Vibes digital design. She also got a Van Gogh Bag in Choose Happy Olive canvas, lined in Shifting Vibes cotton. I got a little carried away with the hand embroidery on the patch, styling it to match the Flower Bloom fabric collection logo.
My younger niece got an Easel Tee with a flower applique. I did lower the crop line just a bit. The skirt is an Evergreen midi with two tiers (although it is a little longer on her) using rayon Stay Groovy Scarlet.
