Art Gallery Fabrics Daisy
/The new Daisy collection by Maureen Cracknell for Art Gallery Fabrics is full of bright, fun florals that are perfect for summer! I was excited to get to sew with this gorgeous fabric, even if summer is still a long time away for us. We had a fun time pretending anyway, with a little stroll through MYO park in Millersburg along the Susquehanna River. The park features a swinging bridge and it is also where the wooden ferry boats are located off-season.
For the first outfit I used the Seed Pattern to sew a sleeveless romper in Raising Daisy. I added the front ruffles in Drifting Florets Airy. I did have to slim the bodice quite a bit. I asked my daughter how much she likes it and she said it “broke the scale!”
My niece LOVES orange right now, so I was really excited about the Follow the Sun print. I used it to make a long top with the Infinite A-Line dress pattern with the cap sleeves option. To coordinate I sewed Rocky Shore Tights in Sahara Sun knit solid.
Both of the girls got bow knot headbands that I self-drafted using Drifting Florets Marmalade and Drifting Florets Airy.
