Project Art Studio Fabric
/When I designed the Project Art Studio fabric line, I knew that an art studio would be the perfect location for a photo shoot! We went to Anthracite Creative Works and were able to see the art show from their fall session. I love the variety of techniques that the students used! My nephews have enrolled several times and thoroughly enjoyed learning so many new things. If you are local, this is a wonderful opportunity. In addition to the art series for school aged children, they also have Art with a Buddy for preschoolers, Art Night Out for adults, Family Night, and Drawing Workshops for all ages.
I sewed up some mix and match sets for my daughter and niece. They each got an Easel Tee in Paint Speckle Cotton Spandex Jersey- one full length and one cropped. They also got new Rocky Shore Tights! My niece’s new favorite color is orange, so I sewed some for her in solid double brushed poly from my stash. My daughter’s leggings use the yellow paint drip border in poly spandex performance athletic knit. Pointillism Pencil pouches were a perfect accessory to these outfits!
I also wanted a long sleeve shirt for my niece, so I used Rainbow Pencil Stripe in cotton spandex french terry to sew a Multi-Hue Henely (minus the placket). The neckband and contrast sleeves were the perfect way to break up the stripes for this top.
My daughter got a Sundowner Sweatshirt in Paint Party cotton spandex french terry. I used orange double brush poly scraps for the cuffs, lining, and drawstrings.
I also sewed a pair of pink Four Season Joggers for my daughter- I just didn’t finish them before we visited the Art Studio. Oh, and her headband is from my Notre Dame Dreams design for Week 1 of Season 13 when I competed!
I have been waiting to share the outfits that I sewed with the Project Art Studio fabric because everyone on the Project Run and Play team sewed with our fabrics! You can their creations on the Project Run and Play blog today as part of the March Sewing Madness series!
