Winter 2023 Craft Classes
/Life has been challenging for everyone the past few years and I am no exception. Three years ago I was working my dream job, teaching all of my favorite classes. Sadly, that school has since closed. I miss it, but my current situation isn’t conducive to a full time teaching job.
I threw myself into crafting instead… creating upcycled décor… reclaiming what is deemed worthless and creating something new and better. It has been refreshing to challenge my creativity while allowing flexibility for myself and my family.
But I still miss teaching.
So I am beginning to teach craft classes. I find that the students are much more enthused than the high school students being force-fed chemistry and algebra. After a period of isolation, we are all longing for more freedom and connection; the classes are really about spending time with others while learning something new more than the finished product. I am offering several different seasonal options with the option of hosting classes at your own homes, in addition to those that I schedule.
WINTER 2023 CRAFT CLASSES
LOVE Blocks
$15/set
These blocks are a great beginner level class. I have a wide variety of papers, paint, and embellishments available. They can be customized to coordinate with any decorating style. This class takes 2+ hours to complete. Class size: 8-15 people.
Heart Basket
$30
This is a beginner level basket class. A wide selection of optional accent colors will also be available. Depending on the size and ability of the class it will take 3+ hours. Class size: 6-10 people.
Gnomes
$15 each
I have made these gnomes with upper elementary age children so this is definitely a kid-friendly option. There are lots of color choices. Hats may be made with a variety of objects. I will also show the class several different options for creating the beards. Arms and other embellishments are available as well. This class will take about 2 hours. Class size: 8-15 people.
Embroidery Hoop Décor
$25 each
Perfect for a wreath or wall décor, this project can be made a variety of ways! Create a pocket for greens or add florals. Add text with paint or premade embellishments. There are a lot of different options! This class will take 2+ hours. Class size: 6-12 people.
Sweater Mittens
$15
Upcycle an old sweater into a pair of mittens filled with greens. Embellishments include berry pics, wood snowflakes, ribbon, buttons, twine, and sherpa trim. These are adorable hanging on a door on on a wooden sled. This class takes about 2 hours. Class size: 8-15 people.
