18" Doll Peasant Top/Baby Doll Dress Free Pattern and Tutorial

Last week I shared the basic peasant doll dress that I usually teach my girls as one of their first sewing lessons. It is a really good beginner project and it has a lot of easy variations! (See it HERE!)

By cutting the front and back a little shorter, you can easily make a shirt instead of a dress. It looks cute, especially with leggings.

Or, if you don't have an 18" doll, it makes a cute baby doll dress in this shorter version.

To make this doll peasant top/dress you only need 1/4 yard of fabric so it is a great scrap busting project, too. Follow the exact same instructions HERE, minus the pattern extension step in the beginning. You can download the adjusted pattern HERE.
